The Phantom #32

The story follows a young boy named Conley who befriends and adopts a lion named Fluffy. As Conley grows from age seven to nine during the narrative, he and Fluffy become a famous and feared duo in the jungle, earning a reputation akin to a "ghost lion and a boy demon." Conley even teaches Fluffy an unusual trick for a big cat—how to catch fish.

When the Phantom eventually steps in to help Conley and Fluffy out of trouble, Fluffy is brought to the safe haven of the Isle of Eden. There, the lion passes on his fish-catching skills to the other jungle predators.
